Sunday Special – Saarang; Thamirabarani

28 Jan 2007, Sunday. It was 5.30 a.m, I was in dilemma whether to wake up or stay covered my bed sheet to extend my sleep, my eyes were closed. For waking up at early morning, I needed a solid reason which made me to thought for the day’s activity. I recollected last night plan which comprised of attending a seminar at stela Mary’s college after that I planed to pay a visit to kamudhi’s room. The seminar was scheduled at 10a.m. titled “Must attend seminar for CAT Aspirants”, but the problem for me to attend the seminar was I didn’t know where the college was. So I decided to Stay covered my bed sheet to continue my sleep. Few minutes later I went unconscious.
I opened my eyes and saw the clock, it was 10.05 a.m. I felt that I am completely waked up, no chance of going back to sleep again, Hence I decided to uncover my bed sheet. I recollected the plan again, there was no possibility for me to attend the Seminar called as “Must attend seminar for CAT Aspirants” even though I am aspiring for CAT. After completing my morning duties I started to Kamuthi’s room. At that moment I never knew that was going to be my longest bike ride in Chennai.

Even though I had a fear in my bottom heart, I started the bike and decided to go. I felt like king because I caught the right route and I went independently without the guidance from any body, I crossed Koyambedu comfortably, I crossed Vadapalani, I crossed TCS. I paid attention to my mobile ring tone which played a sound belong to my office colleague, so I decided to stop the vehicle and attend the call. It was rajaram’s call, I reluctantly paid attention to his voice, who enquired about my plan and urged me to come for the movie, finally I reluctantly agreed to buy a ticket for a new movie in ‘Udhayam complex’. The bike ride continued by ignoring the call’s intention to buy a ticket, I reached Kamudhi’s Room.
For the past one year, I hardly spend time with kamuthi, even though we are residing in Chennai. Now I decided to spend some time with this village boy, that made me to ignore Rajaram’s call to buy a ticket for a new movie. I reached kamuthi’s room, spend couple of hours in chatting and other things, then I came to know that there was a cultural event was happing in IIT called as SAARANG.

I remembered the photo’s sent by NSS last year about SAARANG which comprised of beautiful, charming, cute babes. This urged me to plead to kamudhi, for taking me to the event. Finally the over posed fellow agreed to take me to the event. Again I received a call from rajaram’s enquiring about the ticket, I told him that I never brought any ticket for him and I conveyed my intention not to go for a movie. Half heatedly I invited him for SAARANG, he expressed his incapability to attend the event. I started my bike with hallucination and entered into IIT campus. I wandered around the place for few minutes, found somebody doing some technical events by asking so many questions relating to pai, psai, how to measure the length without using any scale/ruler, etc., this made me anguish.

Hitherto, I thought that nothing special in the event and seem like similar to our interface; hence I decided to leave the place. The keenness made me to wander around the place for a few more minutes and I found what I wanted, a young beautiful fat babe hosted a program. She danced for song from “Sakira – Hips don’t lie” her hip shakes for the song made cynosure for every body. I spent hardly half an hour in IIT campus and I returned back to kamudhi’s room where I had my lunch which was cooked by somebody.

After great lunch, I felt little tired and went into sleep for 2 hours. Again my mobile started to discharge its ring tone belongs to my official colleagues, made me to wake up and attend the call. Again the call was coming from rajaram, he urged me to come for a movie. Finally I decided to go for a movie to gratify Rajaram. He was very particular in selecting a movie "Thamirabarani". We found that the movie was doing well, getting a ticket for that movie was very difficult, and so we decided to opt for Rohini complex, where we thought that we can overcome the ticket scarcity issue. But we found the ticket shortage in that theatre also, we were not able to believe the reality and finally we got two tickets in black.

Once we started to view the movie, I sank into the movie since the audience support for the movie was very good especially for the song “KARRUPANA KAIYALA ENNA PUDICHAAN” then drew closer the interval. Normally I have a habit of checking my parking token during the movie interval, that time no token was found than I checked with Rajaram. I realized that I forgot to park my bike since we got the ticket in hurry burry by black and entered into the theatre. I felt the fear mounting on my heart. The interval bell rang, we went into the theater again, the speediness and excitement in the movie made me to forgot the parking issue temporarily. There came a song “THALIYAE THEVA ILLAI” creates a break for me to forget the parking issue.

In the middle of the song chants ‘SIRIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE” made my heart to pump the blood quicker, I felt a rush in the adrenalin fluid in my kidney thought about my bike. Rarely I had an opportunity to get a bike, if I loose the bike now than I will never get a bike again in my life. Finally with lot of excitement and thrill, the movie ended and I ran out of the theatre hall to see my bike, where I parked my bike. I found my bike was missing in the place where I parked it before I went in the cinema hall. Later I noticed that the bike was parked safely in a unique place (not in the parking area). with lots of joy I sat over my bike trying to start it. I felt somebody was touching my shoulder which is not rajaram, he was a guy who parked my vehicle safely, he asked for Rs.10. I gave 10 rupees and thanked him for doing a safe job for me.

Finally the climax of the day, the time was 10.45 p.m. That was the time normally mama patrols the city to catch the drunk and drive cases. With intense fear I started to move, the target now in front of me was first I had to drop rajaram in vadapalani and return back to home which was lot of road to cover (lot of mama’s to cover). Bravely I did ridding and came back to home safely without paying anything to mama’s.
Regards,
Amjathkhan.

Man..its funny reading throughout...but few commens on improving on writing...

Decide on whether your writing in present tense and pasttense.

Concentrate much on presentation part like formatting, spacing which will look legible and readers will find it enjoyable..

Enable anonymous comments...becos all will not hav blogger accounts.

Very good one amjath.... By the way, when u comes to write story or events, don’t thing about the fact and truth just go ahead with the pace… It should make fine impress thro readers on the story, which were missing on ur climax. (Climax nalla iruntha thookkalaam mamu-kalakku)
